Hope

As the days move onward
I leave the past behind
Much of what was sorrow
Proved that God is kind

Many a rugged path
In life I have sustained
Much from me was taken
But hope and faith remain

The clouds may fill the sky
But cannot banish the sun
God will give me justice
When all is said and done

For peace comes after suffering
And love surpasses pain
After earth there is a heaven
Out of loss the greatest gain
